Traditional Media

Traditional media, the radio, the good 'ole newspaper and the always so good television. What they have done over the years in improving our civilization are definitely big.

The only way I can compare these three is by knowing their own strenghts and weaknesses.

Who has a wide range of access?

I say it has to be radio, it doesn't need wires and all you need is batteries and of course, a radio. This one is tough pick because we also have newspaper but sometimes the newspapers fail (example, storms or other calamities).

What is most effective in delivering the information?

In today's generation, nothing delivers the news like the TV. But for me, the all time has to be the newspaper. When you miss something you cannot play back Ms. Korina Sanchez. In the newspaper, you can simply browse back and say "now I know". Also you can skip the news you don't want to hear.

What is the most entertaining?

TV of course, no question

Whatever traditional media you use, you should know how reliable the information is. It always happens many occasions, media has evolved from an information gateway to an entertainment medium.

Internet vs. TV vs. Radio vs. Newspaper/span>

Access : Radio

Few-errors: TV

... I agree with this statement because personally, I hardly use digital media for serious endeavors such as learning. It has become a gagdet to occupy my time, makes me really lazy and zombie like. The computer is just being used for watching videos, listening to music and chatting or playing games, only rarely do I look up acadmeic things in nature -only when I have to. With all the technological advances I guess we need to utilize it more for better purposes. :)

Actually, among the traditional media, I prefer the newspaper. I agree, you cannot do 'playbacks' with the radio and television (unless of course you go the extra mile to actually tape the news). News tends to be sensationalized on television and radio. I believe the newspaper is the only medium that remains objective with crafting and delivering news.. :)
